Our Mission

Our mission is handle the oft-forgotten, lower priority tasks and repairs that our clients want done for reasonable rates.

As locals to the West Jackson County area, we see a void between what our clients expect and what most contractors are actually providing. Being in an affluent area does not have to mean paying automatic “affluent” contractor rates just for the sake of it, especially for the small stuff. Here, we stand on principle.

We intentionally do not take on large remodel projects to ensure we don’t spread ourselves too thin. Our primary focus is on the smaller jobs that many other companies often pass over but still need to be done. There is no job too small.

Meet Your Tradesman

Like many men have done for generations, Daniel Collins got his start at a young age mowing local lawns and helping out around his neighborhood. Having discovered a passion for helping others, using his hands, and solving problems, he went on to college to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education. Although not actively teaching in a classroom, he still uses his training every day to educate clients and staff on product knowledge, skills training, and professionalism.

Daniel began as a tradesman in 2010 when he left the world of retail and entered into the swimming pool industry while still going to college. Working as a lifeguard and a maintenance technician, he quickly moved up the ranks by demonstrating a strong work ethic, integrity, and a willingness to do whatever the job required. Today, he still happily leads one of Atlanta’s premier swimming pool companies as his primary job focus.

As a husband and a father raising young children in Jackson County, Daniel understands the struggle of balancing career decisions with family life. He started The GA Handyman as a way to offer his community a renewed vision on what hired-services can bring to the table for both value and quality. Although this is a part-time hobby for him, that doesn’t detract from his desire to offer affordable services to his community.
